Why Consistency Matters More Than Talent in Business

When people think about growing a business, they usually think about getting more customers, opening more locations or having better marketing. While all of that matters, I’ve realised something else is just as important: consistency.

At LTZ, we’re building systems that don’t rely on one person having a good day. They rely on everyone following the same standards, every single day.

I’ve learned that having processes is one thing. Following them consistently is something completely different.

As we’ve grown, I’ve seen how small things make a big difference. Reporting on time, communicating clearly, following up on actions, and holding ourselves accountable all create trust within the team. When those things are missing, problems build up quickly.

Leadership isn’t about doing everything yourself. It’s about creating an environment where everyone understands what good looks like and takes ownership of their responsibilities.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that accountability isn’t about catching people out. It’s about helping people improve and making sure the whole business moves in the same direction.

Every week we’re refining our systems, improving our communication and raising our standards. Progress doesn’t come from one big change—it comes from hundreds of small improvements made consistently over time.

My goal is simple: to keep learning, keep improving, and help build a business where our standards speak for themselves.

Whether that’s through leadership, operations or developing people, consistency will always beat short bursts of motivation.

Because in the end, people don’t remember what you promised—they remember what you consistently deliver.
