If you enjoy working with people, have an interest in barbering and want to develop practical skills through employment, a barbering apprenticeship could be a route worth exploring.

Interested in Becoming an LTZ Apprentice?

We’re looking for motivated people who want to begin a career in barbering.

You don’t need to arrive knowing how to cut hair. We value reliability, a willingness to learn and pride in doing a job well.

An apprenticeship combines employment with structured training. You gain experience in a working barbershop, learn alongside experienced professionals and develop an understanding of what clients expect.

How LTZ and ATS Support Your Learning

Barbering apprenticeship training at LTZ is delivered through Achievement Training & Skills Ltd (ATS), the responsible apprenticeship training provider.

ATS oversees enrolment, training, assessment, progress reviews, quality assurance, funding and programme compliance. LTZ provides the workplace, day-to-day supervision and practical industry support, with appropriately qualified staff contributing to training within the agreed ATS delivery framework.

Available vacancies, training locations, entry requirements and start dates will be confirmed during the enquiry and application process. Government funding is subject to learner, employer and programme eligibility.

This apprenticeship route is separate from the private, self-funded skills courses delivered directly by LTZ Training Academy.

A successful barber needs technical ability, confidence and the skills to work well with others.

Throughout your development, you will build experience in:

• Cutting, styling and barbering techniques.

Our aim is to help you understand both how to deliver a good service and how to become a dependable member of a professional team.

Where Could Barbering Take You?

An apprenticeship can provide the foundation for a career with room to grow.

As your skills and experience develop, you may work towards becoming a Senior Barber, mentoring colleagues or managing a shop. With further experience and appropriate qualifications, education and assessment may also become options.

Progression depends on your interests, performance and the opportunities available. At LTZ, we want people to understand these possibilities and the steps needed to work towards them.
