At LTZ Training Academy, we want the skills people develop to lead somewhere: into employment, greater confidence and opportunities to progress within the barbering industry.

Where suitable vacancies exist, learners who demonstrate the required skills, professionalism and commitment may have the opportunity to join the wider LTZ business.

Understanding Your Training Route

LTZ Training Academy directly delivers private, self-funded barber training and skills development. These programmes are separate from apprenticeships and regulated qualifications, with the content and certification outcome explained before booking.

Apprenticeships and regulated qualification programmes are delivered through Achievement Training & Skills Ltd (ATS), the responsible training provider. ATS oversees programme delivery, assessment and quality assurance, alongside apprenticeship enrolment, funding and compliance where applicable. LTZ provides the commercial barbershop environment and practical industry support, with appropriately qualified staff working within the agreed ATS delivery framework.

Apprentices are already employed during their programme. Their next step may involve continuing in a qualified barber role, while private learners may be seeking their first position in the industry.

Creating Opportunities After Training

Learning barbering techniques is one part of becoming a capable professional. Applying those skills consistently in a busy barbershop takes further experience.

Confidence develops through practice. Working efficiently takes time. Client relationships grow through careful consultation, reliable service and consistent results.

That development continues after a course or qualification ends. By connecting training with our working barbershops, we help learners understand what employers and clients expect.

Employment within LTZ depends on suitable vacancies and an individual’s readiness for the role. Completing training does not guarantee a position, but it can provide a foundation for opportunities within LTZ and the wider industry.

Getting the Job Is Only the Beginning

Once someone joins the business or progresses from an apprenticeship into a qualified role, their development continues.

We encourage our barbers to refine their technical skills, build their client base and take greater responsibility as their experience grows.

Depending on their interests, performance and available opportunities, this may include becoming a Senior Barber, mentoring colleagues, moving towards shop management or developing the qualifications and experience needed to teach and assess others.

These are pathways we want people to understand and work towards, supported by feedback, learning and practical responsibility.

Building a Career With Room to Grow

People enter barbering with different experiences and ambitions. Some are starting their first career; others are changing direction or developing an existing skill.

Their training routes and pace of progression will differ, but our purpose remains consistent: to develop capable, confident people who can continue growing within the industry.

For us, completing training is an important achievement. Seeing someone use that learning to build a career is what gives it lasting value.
