LTZ Group Expands into Spain: Building Opportunity Beyond Borders

For almost a decade, LTZ Group has been built on a simple belief: talent exists everywhere, but opportunity does not.

What began in the United Kingdom as a single barbering business has grown into an organisation spanning barbering, education, apprenticeships, leadership development and social mobility. Today, we are proud to announce the next chapter in that journey with the incorporation of LTZ Group Holdings Iberia SL, establishing our presence in Spain and creating the foundation for long-term growth across the Iberian region.

Establishing LTZ in Spain

LTZ Group Holdings Iberia SL has been formally incorporated in Spain, with CaixaBank appointed as our corporate banking partner and Emprendix Consulting supporting the organisation through accountancy, compliance and strategic advisory services.

The company is led by:

  • Martin Wallis-Keyworth – Administrator and Founder

  • Mario Karaj – Director

  • Cosmin Sustar – Director

Together, the leadership team brings experience across international business transformation, education, workforce development, operational leadership and organisational growth.

Why Palma de Mallorca?

Palma de Mallorca was selected as LTZ Group’s first international location because it provides a unique opportunity to combine barbering, education, workforce development and social impact within one of Europe’s most dynamic regional economies.

As the capital of the Balearic Islands, Palma attracts talent from across Europe while maintaining a strong local community and growing demand for skilled professionals. For LTZ Group, the city represents far more than a commercial opportunity. It provides an opportunity to apply a proven model that has successfully developed people, created careers and supported businesses throughout the United Kingdom.

Our ambition is to create sustainable employment opportunities, support workforce development and help individuals gain the skills, confidence and experience needed to build successful careers within the barbering and grooming industry.

LTZ Barbers Palma de Mallorca

The first phase of our Spanish expansion will see the opening of LTZ Barbers Palma de Mallorca, alongside the introduction of the LTZ Training Academy model that has already supported learners, apprentices and employers across the United Kingdom.

The vision is not simply to open another barbershop.

It is to create an environment where individuals can develop skills, gain qualifications, access meaningful employment opportunities and progress into leadership positions.

To support this ambition, we have recruited a Spanish, English and Catalan-speaking management trainee who will join our Chesterfield headquarters on 11 September 2026. Working directly alongside Founder and CEO Martin Wallis-Keyworth, the focus will be on understanding the LTZ operating model, leadership culture, training systems and customer experience standards before supporting the launch of the Spanish operation in early 2027.

Building Relationships Across Mallorca

As part of our preparation, LTZ Group has already begun developing relationships with organisations across Mallorca.

Discussions have commenced with industry bodies to better understand qualification frameworks,

workforce requirements and regulatory expectations within Spain. We have also started engaging with local employment services to explore how the successful UK model of supporting individuals into sustainable careers can be adapted to meet local needs.

The objective is simple: create pathways into employment for young people and adults who may otherwise face barriers to entering the workforce.

This approach reflects the same philosophy that has underpinned LTZ’s growth in the United Kingdom—developing people through opportunity, practical experience, education and ongoing support.

Learning from the UK Model

The UK operation has demonstrated how barbering can become more than a service industry. It can become a platform for education, personal development and social impact.

Through LTZ Training Academy, government-funded qualifications, apprenticeships and employer partnerships, we have helped create opportunities for individuals from a wide range of backgrounds. Many have progressed into senior roles, management positions and long-term careers within the industry.

As relationships continue to develop in Spain, discussions have also begun around rehabilitation and employability initiatives inspired by the work undertaken in partnership with the UK prison and probation system. While still in the early stages, the ambition remains consistent: helping individuals rebuild confidence, develop skills and access meaningful employment opportunities.

More Than a Barbershop

The objective is not to replicate a traditional barbershop model.

The LTZ approach combines commercial services, vocational education, workforce development, employability, leadership development and social impact within a single ecosystem. Every aspect of the organisation is designed to create opportunities for people to learn, develop and progress.

Whether someone joins as a customer, learner, apprentice or employee, the goal remains the same: to leave more confident, more capable and better prepared for the future than when they arrived.

Looking Ahead

The establishment of LTZ Group Holdings Iberia SL is not simply about entering a new market.

It is about extending a proven model that combines commercial success with education, workforce development and social impact. Palma de Mallorca represents the first step in a wider international strategy that seeks to create opportunities, develop talent and build sustainable businesses across multiple regions.

As we move towards our planned launch in early 2027, we look forward to building strong relationships across Mallorca, supporting local communities and demonstrating that with the right support, ambition and opportunity, potential can become achievement.

Developing People. Building Brands. Creating Legacies.
